My Dad & I

Just the other day
My brother and I were fishin'
We talked of different ways that we had come
We've had some tangled lines
In our lives, sometimes
He was there to guide us thru each storm
He said 'I'll undo it'
I'll fix it if I can
When you grow to be a man
There'll be a tangled line
From time to time
But, when it came to it
And uncertainty arrived,
He was right there by my side...
He put an end to it
Helped me get through it...

As two boys can be, we were wild; no inhibitions
It's crazy thinking how we come this far
We've had a different line
Danced to a different rhyme
He was there to help make us who we are
And in certain situations
He would show us who he was
He was a man raising a family
He was a rebel, he had a cause
